We had an 'Open House' October 30th, a Sunday afternoon 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, at our fire station. This was the perfect opportunity to get a tour within our station, try out some fire gear, walk around and get inside our fire/rescue apparatus, open up compartment doors on our apparatus to see what is inside, all which would give you some insight, a taste of what it is like to be a volunteer firefighter. We were happy to answer any and all questions, and/or just sit down and talk about serving our beautiful communities. We had snack food, hot coffee.

We volunteers are individuals with families/spouses/children/grandchildren, work full-time/part-time jobs, students. We have hobbies that we love to do outside of being volunteer firefighters. We do have firefighters who claim to be 'retired,' but as volunteer firefighters, they are partially retired.

This event was 'kids-friendly.' We had fire prevention material to provide, home safety information to review.

Our passion/love to serve and protect is very strong within the walls of the Logan Fire Station! We loved meeting families/individuals within the Bellefonte Borough and surrounding townships we serve.

We have been in service for over 152 years, being the first established/organized volunteer fire company in Centre County!
